His journey includes serving as an independent consultant and holding leadership roles at some of the world’s largest global hotel corporations, instilling a deep understanding of the industry’s nuances and challenges.

Leonard’s recent successes are a testament to his ability to deliver tangible results. These include a timeshare assessment that led to multiple recommendations with more than USD 100M in revenue opportunities, a migration plan that identified opportunities to save nearly USD 20M through alternative approaches, and a seamless transition of dozens of hotels from managed to franchised properties with no operational disruption, revenue loss or data loss. Leonard has also helped brands evaluate and improve their business capabilities and reassess technology pricing to strengthen their competitive positioning or owner offer.

Before founding LSight Hospitality Consulting in 2015, Leonard held senior positions at IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) and Hilton Hotel Corporation, where he established a proven track record in developing product strategy and implementing large-scale business transformations. In addition, Leonard’s extensive international experience working directly with in-country leadership and hotel owners in more than 25 countries and having lived abroad for three years allows him to provide clients with global expertise.
At IHG, Leonard developed strategies to modernize and integrate core hotel operations technology, including consolidating property management solutions and transitioning 5,000 hotels in more than 100 countries to a new central reservations system. At Hilton and Promus Hotel Corporation, he launched one of the industry’s first automated revenue management solutions, introduced the industry’s first brand-wide “evergreen” hardware refreshment program, and deployed a common property management platform across the business.
